I used to go here when I was younger and now as an adult I still love the place.Staff is nice, helpful and humble. The food is amazing. The location is nice and intimate, so it doesnt get too loud when everyone is talking. Almost everything is made in house;bread, butter, pickles, ice cream, etc.Love this place and will go back as much as my wallet will let me.

One of the best restaurents

This was our first time visiting this establishment (GIBBYS) and we were not disappointed, all of the staff are going out of their way to make your meal and stay unforgettable. And the food was outstanding. This won't be our last time. See you next week.

Many my guests like go this place for anniversary. The highest quality food and service in this town. average cost about 80$ or more for each person.

Amazing wine & steaks! Great ambiance, just the perfect place to have a date. If it's your birthday they offer your a crème pâtissière cake that just melts in your mouth. Do not forger the esspresso!! Enjoy

Very nice rustic setting with fireplace. Service was excellent . Family oriented - lots of kids with cellphones. Still it was relatively unobtrusive. Fireplace has me fooled. I chose a seat a bit to the side of it because of radiant heat, but turns out it was a realistic gas fireplace, so no radiance. Bread was home baked eggbread rolls - yummy. Oyster entree was great. My wife had the grilled char and I had blackened halibut. Both were great - moist and tasty. I really wanted the creme brulee dessert but I couldn't justify the $15 pricetag. Unfortunately no beer on tap... Overall a very pleasant experience and one I'd repeat.

Great decor, nice ambience, amazing food and a very professional staff! Lots of choices for food and drinks. Large quantities are served. Good choice to bring you date or have a family get-together.

Excellent food and service

A perfect evening! We decided to treat ourselves for our 34th wedding anniversary and arrived an hour earlier to walk in the village before sitting down. We picked a quiet table upstairs since we like it brighter. The waiters were prompt, competent and funny. The food was even better than we remembered, to the smallest details. I don't know what they do to their meat but it's out of this world. The bread is made locally and melts in your mouth. The water is filtered with reverse osmosis. Wine by the glass suited is perfectly. The salad is so fresh and crispy: is all in the ingredients. And the Monte Carlo potatoes... They even brought us a complimentary cake for dessert! The best part? It hasn't changed since we were newlywed!

Not that great, overall, this time. Rib steak was tasteless and dry. Lamb chops were great - veggies were practically non-existent

Food was excellent, service was poor. Addressed with management, was told they'll look into it. In other words, we're very busy and you're not gonna change that.

I had the shrimp provincal ( garlic butter ) and my boyfriend had the chicken kieve. Both very good. Nice service and delicious home made warm bread with pickles and real bacon bits on the table to start. I will definitely go again

There is absolutely no better place to go to for a sumptuous supper than Gibbys in St. Sauveur.The steaks and fish are absolutely mouthwatering, the service polite and efficient. The atmosphere with its several fireplaces and conviviality reminds you of your grandparents laurentian country home.We have been going there for almost 40 years and cannot get tired of this restaurant.

Decent service, love the pickles, but food was mediocre.

This place was just fabulous, very generous portions with excellent food. The waitresses were super friendly with a great sense of humour. I had the lobster tails and they were cooked to perfection and the Monte Carlo potato was just exquisite.

Service is awesome! Portions are big and the meat is delicious. They will serve you pickles (which are delicious), bread, butter and bacon bits when you arrive, a sorbet after your appetizer and some mint chocolates after you finish your dish.

Nice and welcoming spot, sister to the Montreal restaurant.Atmosphere is nice and reservations are important in the busy seasons.Steaks are very well made, spices and served classically. I wouldn't say that it's comparable to the good steak houses in Montreal, but a good alternative in the Laurentians.Like any Gibby's restaurant, portions are big and mains include a side and a salad, so make sure to not over order food.Deserts were delicious and highly recommended. Each desert is definitely more than enough for one person, which we would have wished the waiter told us in advance.Service is ok, but they really try to be helpful. For examples the waiter didn't know where the only types of oysters they held at the day was from, which is unheard for me.Charging 19$ for a Martini is rediculous and hence the low score along with the above.

Service and quality are always very satisfactory. Have been many times and have only found once that my food was "average". Otherwise, it's always been well above average. Lobster is good year-round! Portions are generous and staff are accommodating for any exceptions or preferences (ex: allergies). One of the finer restaurants in St-Sauveur and well worth the visit.

It was awesome! The meat was so tender and cooked perfectly. The cheesecake was good and huge portion.

An amazing experience. Bread was fresh and soft. The atmosphere was cosy next to the fire. The food was excellent! Both fillet mignons were perfectly medium. Our waiter was very kind, bilingual, and attentive. Will definitely come back.

Classy and consistent

This is our second time around at this Gibbys. The restaurant offers great choices of meat and seafood. Portions are generous; but the prices are high. Limited choices of cocktails.

It’s a wonderful place until the waiter judged our order a little to heavily. If I want two desserts, if I am willing to pay for two desserts, why would a waiter refuse me? Besides that it’s wonderful to sit in-front of a fire place in old style classic decor after getting dolled up after a day of skiing. They do have the vest steak, and they door blue PERFECT! Their pickles are legendary, be certain to take some home! You can eat everything on the menu, and still want more! The portions are large but it’s all just so yummy
